One of the stars of the infamous television show and movies, “Jackass”, died in the early morning hours on Monday in a violent and fiery crash near West Goshen, Pennsylvania, on State Route 322. CNN reports, Ryan Dunn, 34, was killed after the 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 he was driving left the roadway, causing the vehicle to go soaring off an embankment and into the woods. The car struck several trees and almost immediately caught fire.
Dunn and a passenger were killed in the accident. A photo of the actor was posted to his Twitter account hours before the incident showing him drinking heavily at a bar less than a mile from where the accident occurred.
Investigators initial findings show that Dunn had a blood alcohol content of 0.196%, more than double the legal limit in Pennsylvania. They also determined that Dunn’s vehicle was traveling between 132-140 miles per hour at the time of the crash.
Pennsylvania law allows bars and bartenders to be charged with a crime for over-serving patrons. The bar manager where Dunn was drinking the night of the accident insists he was okay to drive according to interviews; however, he could later face charges and civil suits from the estate of Dunn.
