Accidents at intersections can be extremely deadly because of the velocity and angles at which vehicles can collide. The New Jersey Truck Accident Lawyers with Lundy Law explain these collisions can be even more devastating when a vehicle the size and weight of a tractor-trailer is involved.
Take, for instance, a crash that occurred earlier this week in Galloway Township, New Jersey, which claimed one life and left six other motorists seriously injured. According to an article from NBC-Philadelphia News, the crash happened at approximately 11 a.m. Monday, November 4, at the crossing of Route 30 and Pomona Road.
Reports indicate the 23-year-old driver of a big rig was traveling westbound along Route 30 with a 22-year-old female passenger. As he began to approach the crossing with Pomona Road and White Horse Pike, he failed to see a red light and entered the intersection, striking three vehicles.
The impact of the collision killed the 69-year-old driver of one of the cars and left all other involved parties with serious injuries.
Law enforcement has stated the truck driver may be charged once a full investigation into the incident is completed.
Lundy Law and their team of New Jersey Personal Injury Lawyers recognize how difficult overcoming the injury or death of a loved one resulting from a truck driver’s negligence can be. The firm would like to send their sympathies to the victims of this most recent crash and their families.
