Reportedly, two infants have died, and six others are sick as a result of a MRSA outbreak in Cooper Hospital’s NICU. The harmful MRSA bacteria is said to have affected infants born at Cooper Hospital from July to early August of 2016.
As reported by the Courier Post [note]Nurse Sues Cooper Over Termination – Kim Moulford, Courier-Post[/note] the MRSA outbreak was reported to the state of New Jersey by a registered nurse. Despite the Conscientious Employee Protections Act, the nurse was fired.
