The Asbury Park Press reported that a New Jersey student won a $6 million settlement in a law suit after being paralyzed in a car accident. The student was injured in a New Jersey auto accident in 2001 after being dismissed early from school. The lawsuit claimed the school is responsible for students when they are dismissed early.
The New Jersey car accident lawsuit argued that the school didn’t give any notice to families of the early dismissal from school before the car accident victim was hit. He was in elementary school at the time of the accident, and ran out into the street after being dismissed and was hit by a car.
