A woman is behind bars in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, after she performed cosmetic medical procedures without a license. According to reports from Action 6 News, the woman was arrested Wednesday night after police say a member of the transgender community ended up in a local hospital after the woman injected her buttocks with silicon.
Reports from the Philadelphia Police Department say that the alleged “pumping party” took place on February 19. Two days later, the woman was admitted to Temple University Hospital after suffering shortness of breath and began coughing up blood.
This is not the first botched procedure the woman has been associated with. Last February, police investigated the woman after one of the individuals she performed buttock injections on died. Charges were never brought against her in connection with the case due to the fact that it was unclear if the injections contributed to the death; however, a spokesman for the Philadelphia Police Department, Lt. John Walker, says that homicide charges could be forthcoming against the woman.
The woman is currently being held on charges of aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, and fraudulent business practices.

Without the regulations and standards that licensed doctors must meet, there are no rules for cleanliness or safety, and every procedure may be putting your life at risk.
