The craft beer revolution has taken a strong hold over the city of Philadelphia, as thousands prepare for the upcoming 2014 Philadelphia Beer Week. The event will take place throughout the week stretching between Friday, May 30, and Sunday, June 8.

The coveted tickets to the Opening Tap ceremonies for the event went on sale yesterday. The cost is $45 , with a $90 VIP ticket option available as well.

The ceremony will occur at 7 p.m. on the first night of the weeklong festivities and will feature the city’s mayor making the first tap.

The week will play host to more than 30 different breweries from the surrounding region and will also be the only place to get a taste of a special collaborative beer created especially for the event. Philly Tripel is a Belgian style brew that is the brainchild of Dock Street brew master, Justin Low, Anne-Catherine Dilewynes from Brouwerji Dilewynes, and raffle winner Daniel Neuner.

The Philadelphia Personal Injury Lawyer with Lundy Law recognizes alcohol will be prominent at the event. This means those who drink at the event and choose to get behind the wheel of a vehicle have a significantly increased chance of being involved in a Philadelphia Car Accident.

That is why the firm asks that those who plan to drink during the event to plan ahead to have a safe ride home by designating a driver before heading out for the evening. If you find yourself without a ride after having too much to drink, please, call a cab, friend, or loved one to pick you up!
