NJ Lawmakers Pass Ban on Flavored Vaping Products

January 15, 2020 – Trenton, NJ

Lawmakers in New Jersey have officially passed legislation to prohibit the sale of flavored vape products. The NJ senate passed the bill on Monday, January 13 22-15. The bill bans flavors which have attracted young teenagers, including any fruit or candy flavored items.

Opponents of the bill argue that legislation should be battling the smoking age instead of limiting the sale of items to of age adults. Massachusetts is the only other state with a ban on flavored vape products. The vaping products have been linked to forms of cancer and multiple lawsuits.
