Pennsylvania has joined a long list of states in suing JUUL Labs, the leading maker of e-cigarettes. The vape pens made by JUUL come in a variety of fruit, dessert and candy flavors which have been attributed to a rise in e-cigarette use among teens.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro filed the lawsuit and alleged that JUUL mislead its consumers about the addiction and health risks of vape pens. The suit seeks a statewide ban on all JUUL products. If the full ban is not put in place, the state wants all flavored JUUL products banned.
